Public Health Students Visit National Center of Epidemic Surveillance

As part of the 2016/2017 training program, a visit was organized by Department of Research & Training at Faculty of Medical Sciences Whereby Public Health senior students were taken to the National Center of Epidemic Surveillance.

The visitors listened to a lecture that introduced them to the National Program of Epidemic Surveillance (Acute Flaccid Paralysis & Measles), other services the center undertakes, and the mechanism by which the various programs are carried out.

Escorted by the center’s technicians, the students had a tour where they were shown round the different sections including: Acute Flaccid Paralysis, Early Warning Program, and Measles.

The students felt satisfied with the great knowledge they derived from the visit which would undoubtedly add to their professional experience.
