Pharma Juniors & Admin Sophomore Qualify for Football Final
Two football matches were held at El-Sha’b playground in the first of which Pharma Seniors played against Admin Sophomore. Though the beginning of the match was in favor of Pharma team having many scoring opportunities, the Admin team could exploit an opposition’s foul to score by Mohammed Ameen’s direct free kick.
In the second half, Admin continued its control over the game scoring another goal from a corner kick by Mohammed Ameen’s header. The third goal was scored towards the end of the match by Mohammed Khurais and, thus Admin won by 3/0.
In the second game, Pharma Juniors played against Banking team wherein the former was in an absolute control of the field. The pharma’s first goal was scored from a penalty kick in the goalkeeper’s left by Mohammed El-Mulsi. Pharma’s attack continued throughout the first period scoring two more goals: one by Naseem El-Wesabi from the penalty area; the other by Naser Awdan’s skillful header. In the second half, Banking scored their lonely goal by Ahmed El-Khameri. The match ended with the victory of Pharma Juniors that qualified for the Finals.
The starring players in the two games were: Yousef El-Ra’ei and Mohammed Ameen of Admin Sophomore team and Mohammed El-Mulsi and Naseem El-Wesabi of Pharma Juniors. Both games had many fouls and injuries due to the teams’ enthusiastic breaks.
