Conclusion of FMS’ Capstone Viva Sessions
The fifth scholarly week of 2017/2017 academic year was concluded with the capstone viva sessions held at Departments of Nursing and Public Health, Faculty of Medical Sciences.
The presented researches were typical in terms of highlighting the common health problems afflicting people, their reasons, and the recommended methods of control.
The studies presented by public health students included a topic that dealt with the extent of health officials’ knowledge about health-implementing programs in schools at Sana’s. The research proved its hypothesis with statistics that stress the significance of school health and its impact on the students’ hygiene. Dr. Jawad El-Wabr, a member of the examination committee, highlighted the valuable, scientific significance of the study.
Representing the first cohort to graduate from Al-Nasser University, the Nursing students presented a research that tackled the ICU nurses’ degree of acquaintance with artificial respiration and its disconnection mechanism. The study was applied to the state hospitals of Sana’a covering around 126 nurses.
According to Dr. Abduraqeeb El-Hanani (Head of Nursing Dept.), the scholarly week brings to light the scientific studies achieved at Al-Nasser University as part of its commitment to academic excellence. Such typical researches, he added, represent a step in the right direction and would certainly help the community get rid of health problems.
The above viva sessions were held in the presence of Dr. Abdulkareem El-Zumor (FMS Dean), Dr. Abduraqeeb El-Hanani (Head of Nursing Dept.), departments’ superintendents, faculty members, and a large number of students.
