CBT: “University Enjoys Great Local and International Prestige”

Sunday, 13 July 2014

In a recent statement, Dr. Ahmed Saif Muharram, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, has confirmed that Al-Nasser University could gain great prestige and reputation over the past few years due to its excellent training and competent graduates. It is the quality of learning and efficient training, according to him, that grant the University an outstanding position in the labor market. In addition, the University has considerable contributions to the community service and public health outreach. As a result, Dr. Muharam called for working harder in order to maintain and even better the current status, especially as the University’s image is held high by embassies and foreign communities in Yemen that often select Al-Nasser to deal with.

CBT’s statement was given in the meeting held today at the University and chaired by Dr. Muharram himself in the presence of Prof. Saeed Alghalibi, the Chancellor.   A number of directors and members of admission committees as well as heads of Media, Finance, and Student Affairs Departments attended the meeting. Devoted to discussing the admission for upcoming academic year, the meeting was enriched by the attendees’ opinions over the entire admission process and promotion campaign.

At the meeting, Dr. Muharram instructed the concerned admission committees to facilitate the enrollment procedures for applicants and provide them with the necessary clarifications about the University, its fixtures and equipments, affiliated scientific centers, educational system and regulations, and the mechanisms of fee payment.

He stressed the need for creativity on the part of admission committees as well as the two committees of Media and Student Affairs.  They must carry out their respective plans more resourcefully than last year and then submit comprehensive reports so that achievements can be evaluated.
It is noteworthy that four admission committees, a media committee, and a financial one were appointed to the processes of admission and enrollment as well as to run the University’s promotion campaign.
